Sara’s Soapy

My Soapy to Sara

S=. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. (Colossians 3:19 NLT)
O=. My observation is that this scripture should speak volumes to all husbands!  To me harshly is way deeper than just simply being mean or negative!  Sara I should always treat you like a queen & I should have never wavered from that all the way back before May 27, 2000!  If we will live according to Gods word then I don’t see a way that we could fail because Gods word doesn’t fail!  Harshly could mean doing my own thing, not caring about you or your feelings. Harshly could mean not helping out around OUR HOUSE!  Last time I checked you work 40+ hours a week too!  I think a lot of us husbands and wives alike probably take the word harshly to light and think ” well I’m not yelling”, when the implications can be so much more!  My observation is that I’m not perfect, but I’m going to do my best do treat you & LOVE YOU the same way that Christ treated and loved the church!!!

A=. Applying this to not only my life, but my marriage should be easy, but I know that it’s not sometimes!  We live in a microwave society that is self centered and “me” driven when really we need to take a line from JFK and ask not what can you do for me, but instead what can I do for you and that is what I want to be in my marriage!  I want to bring out the best in you and the boys as well as have a lot of fun in-between!  I love and adore you and everything we are seeking to become!  I could not have a better number two!

P=. Father I lift Sara up to you and pray that she seeks you in all that she does, that she puts you above all else!  I pray that she is the wife and mother that you intended for her to be Father and that our marriage be blessed by you God!  God I pray she hears from you and takes the time to listen and understand what it is that you want from her!  Father I thank you for putting Sara and I in each others path so that we are able to find you together God!  I pray peace and love over our marriage in Jesus name!
Amen!

Y=. In 2nd Corinthians 5:17 it says
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!  This is something I kept getting when I think of you!  We’ve traveled the globe together and we’ve had our ups and we’ve had our downs, but we are in an awesome place right now!  It is so awesome to see where God is taking you and it helps me more than you’ll ever know!  God reveals things to me everyday about you that is just over the top amazing and I thank Him daily for you!!

I love you!!!!
